As you contact various web design companies to secure quotes you will find that pricing is not consistent. If you want a 5-6 page website and you contact 4-5 different companies you more than likely will receive 4-5 different quotes for the same scope of work. There are many reasons for this including, but not limited to, a company's overhead (rent, utilities, payroll, etc.), the hourly rate that they charge (based on payroll, or contractors rates) and how a company positions themselves in the market in terms of the size and type of companies they tend to go after.
You will also find many web design companies offer set packages with pricing for a certain amount of pages, a certain number of images and other features, whether you need them or not.
At Fort Worth Web Design we do not offer set packages as over the years we have found that every website has different requirements. Some 5 page websites can be minimal while other 5 page sites may be more complex in the features they require, so we price based upon your needs. If you need less you will pay less, if you need more you will pay more, but we can assure you that you will always receive a good value.
Since our focus has always been small to medium size businesses and organizations (we are a small business as well) we understand budget constraints. When you contact us for a quote we will ask a lot of questions about what your needs are and what you want to accomplish with your website so that we can give you an accurate quote. All of our web sites are custom designed, we do not use templates except for WordPress or E-Commerce sites which are template based (but each can be customized).
When it comes to the cost of a website the least expensive will be a basic informational HTML site. We price by the number of pages and/or type of content that will go on each page, therefore some pages may cost more than others.
The next step up in cost would be a basic HTML site with a Content Management Editor used on some pages. Click here for more information on Content Management options.
The next step up in cost would be a WordPress full CMS site. It costs more to design and it can cost more to host. You also have the cost of maintaining the security updates. Click here for more information on WordPress.
The next step up in cost would be an E-Commerce site. There are many variables to pricing an E-Commerce site such as the number of products you will be offering, payment options and SSL Certificates. Click here for more information on E-commerce sites.
Finally the most expensive type of website is a development project. This is truly a custom build from the first page and uses databases for most of their functionalty. We would sit down with you and discuss in detail waht you are trying to accomplish, who your audience(s) are and map out the process and flow of the site. In addition to cost these types of projects can take months to complete.
For a no cost, no obligation quote call us at 817-991-9978 to discuss your needs. We will be happy to hear from you.
